Instructions
Your goal is to develop a pitch deck for a new nonprofit organization focused on the future of AI and AI safety. Your TF will divide the section into four groups, each responsible for drafting one critical portion of the pitch deck:
-
Mission and Vision: Clearly define the mission and vision of your nonprofit. Address why AI safety matters, what specific issues the organization will tackle, and the long-term impact it aims to achieve.
-
Programs and Initiatives: Propose specific programs and initiatives your nonprofit will undertake to advance AI safety and awareness. Provide detailed descriptions of at least two key programs, including their objectives, target audiences, and expected outcomes.
-
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships: Outline strategies for engaging key stakeholders such as academia, industry experts, policymakers, and the general public. Suggest potential partnerships or collaborations, explaining how these partnerships would strengthen your organization’s impact.
-
Funding and Sustainability Plan: Develop a comprehensive funding strategy outlining potential sources of financial support, including foundations, grants, and individual donors. Include an overview of your nonprofit’s budget and strategies to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
All groups will simultaneously draft their respective sections of the pitch deck. Feel free to utilize ChatGPT to assist with brainstorming, writing, and structuring your content. Spend approximately 20-25 minutes working collaboratively within your groups.
After completing your individual sections, each group will present their work to the entire class, receiving feedback and revising their proposals accordingly. Allocate about 10-15 minutes per group's presentation and feedback discussion.
End the section by combining all four sections into a cohesive pitch deck presentation.
