Videos

• Video one covers plugins in WordPress (functionality that occupies most of the screen in WordPress) -- backups and forms
• Video two covers widgets in WordPress (functionality that goes around the edges of the web page)

Assignment

By this point, you should have WordPress installed, your content should be in place, and your pages all link together. This week, you'll add the required plugins and widgets and get those in place.

As mentioned in the video, don't worry too much about where the widgets go, even if you want to break them into different areas. The 2017 theme has a few areas where widgets can go, but when you get to custom theming next week, you may find those regions shift. 

As always with CMSs, you don't want to focus too much on where things are placed until you get the basic content in the system. After that's in place, then you can worry about the theming and how things look.
