Assignment 1A part 1: 20 multiple choice questions, 40 points

DO NOT ask questions about the quiz in the discussion area. You will be penalized for asking questions publicly. 

Quiz format:

• Part 1: 20 multiple choice and multi-answer questions, 2 points each 
• Part 2: Six "short answer" questions, 5 points each
• Part 3: One longer coding question, 30 points
• Total for Assignment 1A: 100 points

Things you should know about this quiz:

• Do not work in groups on this quiz. This is your work only.
• Do not discuss the quiz with anyone.
• The quiz is "open book;" use any class or web materials to assist you. Do not ask anyone else for help (students, work colleagues, random Twitter people, etc).
• The quiz does not have a time limit, other than the due date.
• You are permitted one attempt only on this quiz. There is no "save" button, so don't start until you are sure you are ready to complete that part of the quiz!
• Correct answers will not be provided, to prevent answers being posted online.

• Jen is generally prompt in answering questions. She is reliably online during the Harvard day (9 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday) unless otherwise notified.
• She is reliably NOT online between 9 PM and 7 AM Harvard time.
• Don't wait until 11 PM of the night of the due date to ask questions.
