ENGLISH 296R: Repetition
This is a totally new course! I wrote a first draft syllabus a while back and I think the course will look something like it, with lots of minor differences. Probably with more flexibility to let it work best for the enrolled students. Maybe even more performance/theater/music-focused than in this draft.
For what it's worth, here's the draft syllabus, sure to change between now and September.
Course goals:
See syllabus draft
Course format:
Seminar, focused on discussing the readings
Typical enrollees:
Graduate Students and Advanced Undergraduates
When is course typically offered?
One time only (for now)
What can students expect from you as an instructor?
I like to ask questions. I try not to be overbearing (sometimes fail!) or talk to much (always fail). I want to permit you to pursue your own interests in relation to the broad coarse theme.
Assignments and grading:
See syllabus draft
Sample reading list:
See syllabus draft
Enrollment cap, selection process, notification:
Petition for admission in Hollis. I do not anticipate an enrollment logjam.
