Pharmacoepidemiology

Epidemiology 221 provides an introduction to the evaluation of safety in medical products through observational research. The course moves quickly through basic concepts of epidemiology, pharmacology and medicine necessary to interpret the material. Decision-making under conditions of uncertainty is a a recurrent theme, as is the need for integrating medical knowledge with population data.
