This assignment is a companion to our next two classes, on the rigidity of frameworks. It attempts to be self-contained, in that all of the concepts and definitions are described on the assignment sheet, but we will be going over all of these topics in class, so you can certainly get started now, but some items may become much clearer after our class meetings.
