Laura conveyed the class's concerns about the due date. I sympathize, but am facing the issue that there are only three class sessions following the Thanksgiving break, and we need two of them for our final topic, to ensure we incorporate 3D printing into the class. Plus the final weekly assignment must be due the last day of class, just one week later. So I don't see an alternative. If anybody has a specific thought about an alternate way to handle these constraints, please send it to me privately and I will consider it.
