Final Reflection Paper
DUE: 12/17/2020
Submit an electronic copy via the course website.
Write 2-4 pages reflecting on your experience this semester. This paper is an opportunity to identify the significance and meaning of your learning experience.
The goal of the exercise is for you to consolidate the most personally important concepts, skills, and realizations from the semester and to further develop your self-consciousness as a learner and creator. This in turn will help you retain material from the class and can help you learn about how you work and learn best. All of which is part of being a “reflective practitioner” (as discussed in Cherstin M. Lyon, Introduction to Public History, pg 12-14).
NOTE: We’ll be reading these for the care and specificity with which you reflect, rather than the quality of the reported experience, in other words, please feel free to explore both the positive and negative (exciting and frustrating) aspects of your experience.
NOTE: This assignment is drawn from L. Dee Fink, Creating Significant Learning Experiences.
