Note: The Friedman and Schustack chapters are optional for undergrad students.
* Undergraduates must read the Burger chapters listed for each week, plus the Coursepack material for the topics being covered, and the sources available electronically from the “Homework” section of the course website
** Graduates must read everything the undergraduates read, PLUS what is listed in the “grads” column.
These dates are a guideline. More time may be spent on some topics and less on others according to the interests of the class. Although in your book theory and research are separated into separate chapters, I will be integrating the two in my lectures.
